BASI Alpine Level 1 Training + L1 Course
Receive the best ski tuition available to further your performance and achieve the BASI Alpine Level 1 qualification. This course is best suited to those who wish to achieve the first Level in the pathway of the BASI qualifications but do not necessarily have enough time to do the classic full-season GAP courses.
The course will commence an intensive 2 week period of personal performance coaching given by BASI Trainers and Level 4 ISTD's (International Ski Teacher Diploma) covering all areas of skiing: high-speed piste performance, off-piste, bumps, steeps, racing, snowpark and freeride, mountain safety and off-piste awareness.
The week long Level 1 Instructor Course will take place during the penultimate week from 21st to 25th January.
The last week will be dedicated to putting your individual action plan into practice to ensure total consolidation and readiness to progress further into the BASI system.
The course will include:
- 75 hours personal performance training in carving, bumps, steeps, variable snow, freeride and race training.
- Training from BASI Trainers/Examiners, Level 4 ISTD's and French race coaches
- Video Analysis
- Preparation for the BASI Level 1 Ski Instructor Course
- BASI Level 1 Instructor Course - 5 Days
- Training within the Performance threads of Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological
- Avalanche awareness course
- Race training with Thomas Foley (Irish Olympic athlete and former World Cup SkiX competitor)
